I’m sure by now all of us have at some point heard about the anointing, and that’s because this word anointing is frequently used by believers in many church circles.

It is my desire and intention to take a few minutes and deal with this subject so as to help you gain more understanding which will absolutely enhance your spiritual knowledge and your walk with God.

For you as a believer, the anointing is such an important part of your spiritual understanding and I sincerely believe that when properly understood and correctly applied, it can make a colossal difference in every area of your life.

Also, I have grown to understand that there are many believers in the Body of Christ who don’t have a proper understand of the anointing, some Christians do have some level of understanding but it’s very limited and they therefore miss out of the many wonderful benefits of having the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

As I have already stated, I won’t take too much of your time, but do I pray that the few revelations that I’m about to share with you will trigger a desire in your heart to want to go deeper in your revelation knowledge concerning the anointing and catapult you into the next level of your walk with the Almighty God.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit given to believers, it’s God’s divine ability shared with His chosen people.

God gives us the anointing to enable us to become what He has called us to be and to do whatever He has assigned us to do.

Without the anointing we can never be able to spiritually function and to live our kingdom life to the fullest, in other words, without the anointing we are powerless and very limitaed.

When our Lord Jesus came into this world, He was 100% God and 100% man, as God He didn’t need any help, but as man He needed all the help He could get from His heavenly Father in order to successfully and powerfully manifest His kingdom wherever He went.

This is how Peter the apostle states it in the book of Acts 10:38  “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”.

That scripture clearly shows Jesus’s total dependance of the Holy Spirit and on the anointing and how that so vastly helped Him in His life and ministry, and that’s very important for us to understand, because we ourselves need to have that same attitude and understanding.

As a child of God you must understand the importance of having and walking in the anointing, because that kind of understanding is exactly what makes a difference between strong and weak believers. You have to understand what does it mean to be anointed and the reason for that anointing.

The anointing is the power that flows from God’s heart into your heart and life, and it carries His nature and and abilities, so when you receive the anointing you actually receive God’s nature into your heart.

This wonderful anointing gives you the ability to go beyond your own human strength and you begin to do things that are completely impossible “humanly speaking”, but they become possible in your life because you’ve been endowed with God’s own supernatural strength and with God nothing is impossible.

The purpose of the anointing is to help you live beyond your human weaknesses and limitations, and to manifest the kingdom of God wherever you go and in whatever you touch.

The bible is full of ample stories and perfect examples of how God anointed His people who through that anointing were able to overcome obstacles that were way bigger than them, and they were able not only to overcome those obstacles but also to accomplish things that were totally beyond their level of strength and intellect.

You look at people like David who killed Goliath a giant that had been a warrior from his youth, it was humanly impossible for David to gain that kind of victory but the anointing empowered him to face Goliath so fearlessly and killed him so straightforwardly. The same Holy Spirit who anointed David to win that battle dwells on the inside of you, and He wants to empower you too so you can live the kind of life that God created you to live, which is a life of big accomplishments and unending victories in Christ Jesus.

You were never designed to merely get by, the Lord never created you to just survive in this world, He designed you to be a testimony of His power and goodness.

The Holy Spirit wants to help you understand and recognize that you are no ordinary peeson, you’re not just a mere human being, but you’re part of the victorious Church of Jesus Christ and you’ve anointed to win in every situation regardless of how painful or difficult it may be. In Christ Jesus by His anointing there’s absolutely no limit to what He can do in and through your life, only believe!

The other challenge we have in the Body of Christ is that many believers think that the anointing is only meant for certain people or some super special elite, this of course is an amiss understanding, because it keeps many from fulfilling their divine assignments and they never become fruitful in the things of God and in their lives in general, because a wrong understanding will always produce a wrong outcome.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit belongs to every member in the Body of Christ, please understand this; every member in the Body of Christ has an assignment from the Lord and an important role to play, but that’s all impossible without the anointing.

You need to change your mindset concerning the anointing, you need to believe that God wants you to walk in the anointing, you need to embrace the anointing and boldly declare “I am anointed” like David the psalmist in the book of Psalm 92:10.

There are things that God has called you to do, and there are places He wants you to reach, but without the anointing you definitely won’t be able to do all of that, you need the anointing to function just like you need oxygen to breathe, that’s how important the anointing is in your life as believer. Unfortunately, some believers don’t have that level of knowledge and therefore there’s no hunger or desire in their hearts to experience the anointing in every sphere of their lives. The anointing is not only meant to work in church gatherings but it is meant to work and manifest wherever you go and in whatever you do especially outside the four walls of the church. My prayer for you is that henceforth you will begin to have more revelation and experiences with the anointing of God, and that the anointing will break every limitation in your life and cause you to live your life to the fullest and and help you fulfill your God-ordained destiny in Jesus name.
